    Hi,
    – Can you add button to export graph (in png, pdf, gif), or copy graph to word
    – Pouvez vous faire comme dans excel (tableau croisé dynamique), ne selectionner d’afficher
qu’une partie des dates sur le graphique. Cela permettra de rendre l’affichage des dates plus
    lisible.

    – Bug :
    * When there a lot of snapshots (the date is not displayed correctly)

    I marcus,

I downlad Mumbai version 2.1.1.630 , i found bug in top sql and top awr :

why “sp top sql by time” and “awr top sql by time” are not equal ????
why “sp top sql by time per exe” and “awr top sql by time per exe” are not equal ????
    …..

I think your request sp top sql and awr top sql are not right because when i see a report statspack (top sql by time, top sql by buffer gets, ..) , or a report awr
and your top (sp or awr) the is diference.

If you want give me your e-mail, i send you copy of screen with bug and copy of my (awr, stackpack) report.

If you want , i can send you script for “awr top sql” and “sp top sql”

    thanks for your work

    Hi Marcus,
Congratulation for the wonderful tool you have created.
I am currently using the version 2.1.1.630 and I have a couple of issues with the custom command functionality. In fact I am not able to access the functionality of renaming the subitems (using the right click) in the dialog opened by Button layout…. I do not arrive to create/access a button like “My scripts” button and its menu (as shown in your post Mumbai version 1.1.1.102 available with reworked custom command functionality from February 6, 2011). Is there a bug in this version or I have to configure something before?
I arrived to “Configure (some) scripts and commands…” and I have also a question. Is there a way to use some arguments in the statements provided?
    Thank you,

    • Yes, there is a problem with button arrangements in submenus/folders and when the toolbar is completely filled (in the later case it’s not possible to rename a submenu/folder). The next release should fix this.

Regarding arguments/parameters, no, this is currently not supported, but I miss it myself.😉

      • One more note: If you have more buttons on the toolbar than space is available, you are stuck. Make sure you either delete some of the commands or you use no icons and short “Descriptions” for the commands, so that all buttons fit on the main custom toolbar again.

    Hi Marcus,

Is this issue fixed in the new version (2.1.1;688)? Yes, according to your comments on the new version (If I correctly undestood your phrase Fixed positioning of subitems in custom buttom bar).
However, nothing have changed for me in the new version (except that I have lost all the scripts but I was aware that this will happen).

    Thank you,

    • Hi Adrian,

there was a problem that happened when restarting Mumbai all buttons that you arranged in submenus/sub-buttons showed up on the main toolbar. This is now fixed.

There is still the problem that you can’t move buttons to submenus/sub-buttons when there are more buttons on the toolbar than space is available. This is still there and I don’t see a way to fix it.

      Cheers,
      Marcus

    Hi Marcus,

I don’t mind that I have lost the scripts from the toolbar. What bothers me is that I cannot customize at all the buttons. Even with one or two scripts added in the toolbar I am not able to do anything in the Button Layout Customisation dialog:
    1. cannot change none of the 10 SubItems label (shown in the Commands list at the right side of the dialog)
    2. cannot place a script under a subitem (even with one script present in the system the script is all the time displayed under the SubItems in the and cannot be moved)
    3. cannt perform a drag and drop in this dialog
This is true also with the latest version.
Perhaps I did not catch the right usage of this dialog / feature.

    Thanks ,
    Adrian

  6. Gautham says:

Why was your project code named MUMBAI ?🙂

  7. Frank says:

I use your ad-hoc query to find “Unindexed foreign keys”. There I found a missing predicate when joining primary key and index selection: “and a.owner = b.owner (+)”

If this predicate is not included, unindexed foreign keys will not be detected if in another schema the same table exists with indexed foreign keys.

So maybe you could add this to the next version of Mumbai.

Thanks and also thanks for this really handy tool,
    Frank

  8. Ashok says:

    Hi,

Is there any restriction on 32/64 bit windows and 32/64 bit oracle client 11g to use Mumbai?

  9. Ashok says:

does Mumbai give analysis of AWR reports also or it does only generate AWR report?

    • It can generate the standard textual AWR reports through the standard PL/SQL calls, but the main feature of Mumbai here are the graphical reports over longer time periods for Statspack and AWR data.

  10. Paulo Machado says:

    Hi Marcus,
Congratulations!!! Mumbai is a great tool.

  11. Thiago Zerbinato says:

    Marcus,

Could you add this SQL to Mumbai ?

    select min(begin_time), max(end_time),
sum(case metric_name when ‘Physical Read Total Bytes Per Sec’ then average end) Physical_Read_Total_Bps,
sum(case metric_name when ‘Physical Write Total Bytes Per Sec’ then average end) Physical_Write_Total_Bps,
sum(case metric_name when ‘Redo Generated Per Sec’ then average end) Redo_Bytes_per_sec,
sum(case metric_name when ‘Physical Read Total IO Requests Per Sec’ then average end) Physical_Read_IOPS,
sum(case metric_name when ‘Physical Write Total IO Requests Per Sec’ then average end) Physical_write_IOPS,
sum(case metric_name when ‘Redo Writes Per Sec’ then average end) Physical_redo_IOPS,
sum(case metric_name when ‘Current OS Load’ then average end) OS_LOad,
sum(case metric_name when ‘CPU Usage Per Sec’ then average end) DB_CPU_Usage_per_sec,
sum(case metric_name when ‘Host CPU Utilization (%)’ then average end) Host_CPU_util, –NOTE 100% = 1 loaded RAC node
sum(case metric_name when ‘Network Traffic Volume Per Sec’ then average end) Network_bytes_per_sec,
    snap_id
    from dba_hist_sysmetric_summary
    group by snap_id
    order by snap_id;

I got it in metalink…. Manual querying AWR for trend analysis and capacity planning – Note:422414.1

    Thank you

  12. The ML note doesn’t seem to exist any longer.

I still haven’t touched metrics in Mumbai yet, but it’s on my list, which includes the live data and the AWR history of the metric views.

The query only touches some of the available data and instead of using this, I would rather like to implement queries that give answers to a wider range of questions.

  13. adam says:

    Hi,

Can you add an option to generate reports for ASH please with time range. This will be wonderful.

    Thanks

  14. Dank für Dein Tools!

  15. nick says:

    Hi Marcus,
is there a option to export all connections from the connection manager?
I would need this ’cause i have to switch PC and I have roundabout 120 DB connections I need.

Is there any specific file I could copy?

    • Marcus says:

      Hi Nick,

connections are saved in config\Connections.dat. You might also want to copy config\ConnectionPWDs.dat.

Easiest would be to simply copy the complete Mumbai folder to the new PC.

      Cheers,
      Marcus

  16. Senthil says:

    Hi Marcus,
How can i download the AWR comparison report to Excel.
    Thanks

  17. Hugues says:

    Hi Marcus,

    that’s a great tool thanks!

However, I’m trying to get access to the alert log. I created the mubai42 schema successfully, I can see in the mumbai log that everything went fine. I verified the schema was creted on my Oracle.
When I tried to get the alter log, I have a message saying that “The functionality is only available when the Mumbai42 schema is available in the database”. Any idea what could be wrong?
By the way I’m using Oracle 12c.

    Cheers,
    Hugues

I like this tool a lot. Good work Marcus. Thank you.

  19. Hello Marcus,
I have downladed and checked the new version. I have a problem with the Active Session History Viewer:
If I select an interval up to the next hour (the last available entry in the combo box) then whenever a refresh is made I get a warning window: Problem with min/max values and nothing is displayed. If I do not select an interval in the past nothing is displayed and below the Time axis I have the following text displayed: ASH data between 30/12/1899 00:02 and 30/12/1899 00:00 – Selected interval 30/12/1899 00:05 to 30/12/1899 00:00.
Is there anything I can do to fix these?
    Thank you
